I am certified 4-8 Generalist with an English as a Second Language (ESL) supplemental certification. I have taught 7th and 8th grade Newcomer students. During my teaching experience I provided high quality education to recent immigrants to help accelerate English language acquisition. In addition to my previous teaching duties I was a teacher leader and helped implement strategies to promote academic language in all content areas. I am currently preparing undergraduate students at ASU to become effective and successful teachers. Specifically, teaching students to successfully integrate technology in the classroom utilizing the Texas Technology Application Standards, ISTE, and NETS.
